We are still fighting for Raif Badawi

It is known worldwide that the Saudi blogger Raif Badawi is sentenced to 1000 lashes and 10 years of jail only for a blog, considered as dangerous by the King of Saudi Arabia.

People continue to tweet #FreeRaif , and his wife created in Canada an association dedicated to freedom of expression in the Arab World, the Raif Badawi Foundation:

But people are still committed to this fight in favor of free expression, and a petition was recently  issued on Change.org.The link is below, in French, but you can have it in every languages:

The photo of the header is not the biggest I have, but it is this of the petition.

In this post, I want to share this petition, as I shared it on my Twitter account.

Please sign it, and share it on your social media.

Blogging, and expressing his ideas, are not crimes. Raif Badawi is a prisoner of conscience.

This post is not very long, but  is an activism one.

When people stay quiet and do nothing, the worse can happen.

Action , facing these situations, that type of violation of human rights, is necessary.

In the West, Raif Badawi received the Sakharov Price in 2015 for his fight in favor of free expression.

Since 2015, the fight must continue.  Free expression is a human right.

So, act, sign, and share.
